ZAGREB – welcome
Welcome to Zagreb – the capital of Croatia. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation. Depending on the time of arrival this day is reserved for some easy activities such as welcome drink in one of the most popular bars in Zagreb, a walk around the city and some free time. Of course, if you arrive late you can just relax. Overnight in Zagreb.
DAY 2
ZAGREB – MREŽNICA (rafting / kayaking) – PLITVICE LAKES
Adventure number one – let s get you wet! We start early and only 1h away from Zagreb, Mrežnica river is hiding its secrets. What better way to discover them then with a raft boat or kayak. Beautiful waterfalls, rapids, travertine barriers and turquoise river will leave you speechless and happy. The tour will end around 14:00h when you will be hungry enough so we will have lunch in one of the local restaurants. After it, a walk around beautiful Rastoke village is planned and a drive to our accommodation near the National Park Plitvice lakes.
DAY 3
PLITVICE (zipline + nature tour)
Good morning – it is time for adventure number two. After breakfast we are taking you to one of the longest ziplines in Europe – Beware of the Bear! 1700 m long and descending at speeds up to 120 km /h – good enough? After catching our breath and getting something to eat we will slow down a bit and do a private tour of the National Park Plitvice lakes – the biggest, most popular and oldest national park with wonderful waterfalls and magnificent nature. I assume you will be pretty tired so no more adventures today. Overnight at Plitvice lakes.
DAY 4
PLITVICE LAKES (cave tour + urban exploration) – ZADAR
Today – a different kind of adventure – urbex. Urban exploration, often shortened as URBEX or UE is the exploration of man-made structures, usually abandoned ruins that were once important and in use. So we are taking you to the biggest and most important one in Balkan area – Objekt 505 also known as “Željava Airbase” – this “beauty” was the largest underground airport and military airbase in the former Yugoslavia. Unfortunately destroyed in the 90s, today it stands as a reminder of the forgotten era, slowly decaying. After exploring this man-made “cave”, next stop is a natural Barač caves – helmets on, light off. After lunch, we drive to our destination for overnight in Zadar.
DAY 5
ZADAR ( rock climbing )
After a good night sleep, we are heading to Paklenica – the most popular Croatian canyon located on Velebit mountain. No matter if you are a beginner or a pro – THIS is the perfect place to go rock climbing. With about 500 directions (grades 3 to 8b +), I am sure there is something for every climber. The rest of the day you will have some free time in Zadar to relax. Overnight in Zadar.
DAY 6
ZADAR ( city tour ) – TROGIR – SPLIT
Let s have a little break and have a history “adventure” – private city tour of Zadar to explore the ancient Roman ruins, sing in St.Donat church, listen to the one of a kind Sea Organs and say Hello to the Sun ( I know this does not make sense now but it will when you see it ). After it our trip continues down to 2 other ancient cities – Trogir and Split. Both of them are full of history and tradition no wonder UNESCO listed them on world cultural heritage. Overnight in Split.
DAY 7
SPLIT ( boat tour/hike/via ferrata )
You had enough rest – let s continue with adrenaline activities. All aboard – we are going on a boat tour – some of our options are the islands of Vis, Hvar, Brač or just a panoramic ride. I would be happy to say that is guaranteed but it depends on the weather conditions – safety first. But, no fear – swanky is here! Our alternative for today is the hike around Marjan hill ( relax and chill ) or Via Ferrata in a nearby town of Omiš. Overnight in Split
DAY 8
SPLIT – TRSTENO – DUBROVNIK
After breakfast, a private city tour of Split awaits, to see why people say it is the most beautiful city in the word. We are going to get lost exploring the ancient Diocletian´s palace and all its secrets. The plan is to grab the toe of Gregory of Nin for good luck, stroll down the “Riva” promenade and just enjoy the “Split state of mind” ( aka. “fjaka” ). After a morning walk we are continuing South first to reach Arboretum Trsteno – the oldest arboretum (fancy word for a botanical garden) in this part of the world – a wonderful breathtaking renaissance garden famous for its beauty but also because it is one of the locations for filming the Game of Thrones. This will be a perfect introduction what comes next – Dubrovnik. Overnight.
DAY 9
DUBROVNIK (sea kayak)
Today we explore one of the most famous cities in this part of Europe. We shall start by doing a walking tour exploring the Old Dubrovnik Walls and the old core of the city. After lunch some free time and than – we row, row, row our sea kayak into the sunset. This will give you the opportunity to see Dubrovnik from the sea, without crowds and with the sound of the waves. A perfect ending of a perfect day. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 10
DUBROVNIK – goodbye ( for now )
It is the last day of your tour and we are here to assist any way. Depending on your time of departure we will plan this day. We are not saying goodbyes because we are sure you will come back for more ?
